Q: Is IATEC a recognized awarding body?
A: Yes. IATEC (International Academy of Training, Education & Certification) is a UK-based awarding organization. Our qualifications are developed in accordance with the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) standards and are recognized by employers, universities, and professional bodies globally for their practical relevance and academic rigor.
Q: What is the difference between a Certificate and a Diploma?
A:
- Certificate (Level 3-4): Usually a shorter course focusing on specific practical skills. Ideal for beginners or upskilling.
- Diploma (Level 5-7): A comprehensive qualification covering broad theoretical and practical knowledge. Equivalent to university-level study (Year 1/2 or Postgraduate).
Q: Can I study IATEC courses entirely online?

EXAMINATIONS
Q: What is the passing mark for an IATEC exam?
A: The standard passing mark for most modules is 50%.
- Pass: 50% – 64%
- Merit: 65% – 79%
- Distinction: 80% – 100%
Q: What happens if I fail an exam?
A: Don’t worry. Candidates are permitted to resit an examination or resubmit an assignment. You will need to register for a resit through your training center and pay a nominal administrative fee.
Q: How are exams conducted?
A: Exams are conducted either physically at an Authorized Training Provider (ATP) under invigilation, or via our secure Online Proctoring System for remote students. Both methods adhere to strict integrity standards.
CERTIFICATES
Q: How do I verify if a certificate is genuine?
A: Every IATEC certificate contains a unique Serial Number and QR code. You can verify the authenticity of any qualification instantly by entering the ID number into our [Online Verification Portal].
Q: I have lost my certificate. Can I get a replacement?
A: Yes. You can apply for a Replacement Certificate by contacting our support team. Please note that a verification process is required, and a replacement fee applies. The new certificate will be marked as a “Duplicate.”
Q: How long is my certification valid for?
A: Most IATEC academic qualifications (Diplomas/Certificates) do not expire; they are lifetime achievements. However, certain technical certifications (e.g., Cybersecurity, Safety) may recommend refresher training every 3 years to stay current with industry standards.
